Responsibilities of the MRPD
Regulation & Compliance Department Functions
- Provide market information to traders of sugar.
- Collect, collate, and analyze sugar industry data.
- Conduct market research and surveys in the industry.
- Build the capacity of stakeholders on value addition and product development.
- Develop and promote sugar products.
- Monitor sugar imports, exports, and domestic sales activities.
- Promote fair and easy trade for sugar by negotiating better terms and removing unnecessary barriers, both technical and non-technical.
- Oversee the dissemination of information via multiple channels, advise on protocol and advertising, and manage content on the organization’s digital platforms
