The Kenya Sugar Board (KSB) is excited to announce a Logo Design Competition, offering a unique opportunity for creative minds to shape the visual identity of Kenya’s revitalized sugar industry regulator. The competition is open from December 17th to December 31st, 2024.
This competition invites designers to create a logo that embodies the mandate, vision, and mission of the Kenya Sugar Board while reflecting its renewed commitment to transparency, accountability, and innovation in the sugar industry.
Competition Prizes
The top three designs will be awarded as follows:
🥇 Winner: KES 100,000
🥈 2nd Place: KES 50,000
🥉 3rd Place: KES 25,000
These prizes aim to reward excellence, creativity, and relevance in design.
How to Participate
- Concept and Design: Create a unique, memorable logo that represents the mandate of the Kenya Sugar Board. Consider themes of innovation, trust, sustainability, and industry transformation.
- Submission: Send your design via email to info@ksb.go.ke with the subject “KSB Logo Design Submission – [Your Name] [Contact]”.
- Submission Deadline: December 31, 2024 at 11:59 PM EAT.
Design Guidelines
- To improve your chances of selection, here are some key design tips:
- Simplicity: The logo should be clean, simple, and instantly recognizable.
- Versatility: Ensure the logo is adaptable for multiple platforms (website, social media, banners, corporate reports, etc.).
- Color Scheme: Use colors that reflect growth, agriculture, and sustainability while remaining versatile in both color and black-and-white formats.
- Originality: Designs must be original and not copied from other logos or sources. Plagiarism will result in immediate disqualification.
- File Format: Submit files in a format that allows for easy scaling and integration (such as SVG, EPS, or PNG).
User Manuals: Designers are encouraged to submit a design manual or mockups to demonstrate how the logo will appear on websites, social media platforms, and official stationery.
Eligibility
- Open to all Kenyan citizens (professional and amateur designers are welcome).
- Only one submission per participant is allowed.
- Designers must adhere to intellectual property and copyright laws. The Kenya Sugar Board reserves the right to disqualify entries that violate these terms.
- Selection and Evaluation
- A vetting and selection panel will evaluate the entries based on the following criteria:
- Relevance: How well the logo reflects the Kenya Sugar Board’s role, vision, and mission.
- Creativity and Originality: The uniqueness of the design concept.
- Technical Quality: Design precision, scalability, and adaptability.
- Versatility: How well the logo integrates across various media (social media, website, stationery, etc.).
The top three designers will be invited for physical consultations to finalize their concepts. These meetings will offer designers a chance to refine their logos and align them more closely with the vision of the Kenya Sugar Board

Terms and Conditions
- By participating, all entrants agree to transfer the rights of the winning design to the Kenya Sugar Board.
- The Kenya Sugar Board reserves the right to modify the winning logo to suit its corporate needs.
- Submissions must be original and not published elsewhere. Plagiarism or use of pre-existing designs will result in disqualification.
- All entries must be submitted before December 31, 2024, at 11:59 PM EAT. Late entries will not be considered.
