Fund Management Directorate (FMD)
The FMD’s main function is to administer the Sugar Development Fund (SDF). This involves:
- Collection and appropriation of the Sugar Development Levy
- Mobilize resources for the sugar industry
- Appraise Sugar Industry funding requests and make disbursements
- Monitoring and evaluation of the SDF-funded projects
- Collection and recovery of loans disbursed
- Accounting and reporting on the Fund’s operations.
